Agriculture
In a beautiful slovakian landscape, just beneath the Tatra mountains, is Jan running his eco-farm Spisska Teplica. The farm itself has a long history, reaching back to 1952 and ever since then it was focusing on healthy animal and plant production. Now is Spisska Teplica considered as a leader in sustainable agriculture.
The farm consists of more than 2 220 acres of land, on which various plants are grown and a herd of 820 beef cattle has its home. On the farm they use only natural fertilizers and carefully picked environmentaly friendly technologies. From local milk GMO-free dairy products are made in a nearby milk processor to be sold all over the country.
The farm is fully self-sufficient as to feeding the animals, milking the cows and also has its own slaughterhouse, producing top-quality beef for Slovakian market.
