About Jan Telensky

A man, who started with £2, and thanks to his vision and effort is now owning a group of companies, turning over £70 million per year — that is Dr Jan Telensky.

A pioneer, innovator and a visionary, whose business interests in the UK concern affordable housing, Virtual Reality in education, job creation, property development and construction. This list continues in Central Europe, where Jan’s companies focus on sport development, the leisure industry, tourism and property development. Apart from that is Jan deeply engaged in various charity work, both on the continent and in the UK.

Yet, Jan’s life and career path had not always been easy. Born in 1948 in Czechoslovakia, where at that time ruled tough communist regime, Jan’s future education and career prospects were far from being optimistic. Despite all that, he managed to keep his own vision, and in 1969 he flew to Britain under assumed name with mere £2 in his pocket and no language knowledge.

Still, he never gave up his dreams and visions, putting at first maximum effort to learn English in various job positions. Then, in 1973, he bought his first business, selling it 3 years later with considerable profit. After that, numerous successful investments started to pile up, and, after the Iron Curtain fell, Jan’s business empire expanded to Prague and further on.
